Wit & Whistle

So this is an interesting story of coincidences (I think, anyway).

I love crafting and of course I read Craft magazine online often (and you should too)! Well today, I saw this post – How To: Stenciled Letter Pillow from Amanda Wright, the girl behind Wit & Whistle.

Wow, not only does this stenciled pillow look (fairly) easy to do, I LOVE that you can just create whatever quote you want! My Carl and I have a lot of cute things we say to each other all the time, and I could definitely see making a pillow or two for our bed for say an anniversary or birthday. Plus, what a great gift idea for anyone – a handmade, customized, useful present. Perfect!

Of course once I was on Amanda’s blog, I couldn’t stop reading! Seriously, I think I spent half of today reading through all her archives and you should too. You won’t be disappointed, I promise.

Anyway, while I was reading her archives, I came across this post – Design*Sponge Sneak Peek. So not only had her house been featured on one of my daily reads (here’s the complete post), her mantle had the most amazing framed print.

The minute I saw it I thought it would be perfect for my Carl for Valentine’s Day as he writes about zombies (and other things) here.

So where is the coincidence? Well I saw the sneak peak months ago and placed my print order a few days later. Of course, at that time, I didn’t know who Amanda was (I never clicked the links within that post for who knows what reason). So imagine my surprise when today I saw that the print was actually from HER house! Swoon.

(And for the record, the print was a HUGE hit! And we have plans to hang it in the office once it’s mounted, that is after our youngest shot it full of pellet holes [at our request] for a more “authentic” look!)

You are very welcome, Amanda! Thanks so much for stopping by to say “hi” and I can’t wait to see what else you talk about on your blog – it’s one of my new favorites, for sure! :-)
