Tuesdays, #6

As I mentioned here, my Carl will be giving me a word of the day every Tuesday to write about.

So today’s word is Snoopy. Awesome!

The first thing I thought of is this book.

Snoopy's Guide to the Writing Life

This book is the very first present I gave my Carl (for Christmas, 2002) and as I write this very post it is sitting on the shelf to my left (over Carl’s desk). It’s a much-loved book and is of course very sentimental! Snoopy is one of my all-time favorite cartoons (doesn’t that sound weird, though?! He almost feels “real” to me), but Woodstock is hands down the favorite. I mean, he’s a bird that is Snoopy’s best friend, plus he is adorable with all his little tweet “signs”!

So what’s your favorite Peanuts character?

I like Snoopy best. One of my fav strips is when Snoopy is laying on top of his dog house watching Woodstock and all his birdy friends walk into his house. Snoopy then says: “it’s amazing how many friends you have after your waffle maker is fixed.” That kind of quiet cynicism makes me laugh every time.

I always liked Peppermint Patty — but you’ve gotta love Woodstock, too.

I loved Peppermint Patty too! And seriously, who I am kidding. How could I forget Linus? Ugh, when I think really think about Peanuts, I’m not sure I could ever just pick one favorite. I love, love Woodstock…but I love everyone else too so much! :-)

You can come to my house even though I don’t have a waffle iron in my “doghouse”! caj
